"Just for Kids"
The Wisconsin Independent Youth Football League (WIYFL) was established in 1996 to provide a positive youth tackle football experience for players in 3rd thru 6th grades in the Waukesha, Wisconsin area. Teams are formed based on high school district of residence. Players will play at the level, which will offer them the most success and safety, against competition in the WIAAYFL at similar grade levels. |

Since the 2001 season the WIYFL has been an Associate Member of the Wisconsin All-American Youth Football League (WIAAYFL). Comprising over 190 teams at four levels of play, with over 7000 players, 780 coaches, and 1900 cheerleaders involved. The WIAAYFL is the premier youth football league in the State of Wisconsin and one of the top youth football leagues in the United States.
In 2006 we celebrated our tenth anniversary season. The programs main purpose is to provide a positive football experience and stresses participation for all players. WIYFL coaches are certified to work with youth football players and are required to have a background check. In 2007 the program was expanded to include 3/4th grade players to offer a developmental learning league in cooperation with New Berlin Eisenhower and Whitnall Youth Football. |
